What are the dates of the 2012 Tour?

The 2012 Tour takes place on June 9 & 10.

How much money am I required to raise?

The minimum amount that each cyclist must raise is $295. Cyclists will not be allowed to participate if they do not raise at least $295 before the Tour begins.

How long is the Tour?

The RONA MS Bike Tour is a 2-day, 185km road bike tour. There are rest stops with food and refreshments located every 15-20km throughout the Tour route.

I’m not an avid cyclist. Will I be able to complete this event?

Yes! The RONA MS Bike Tour is a recreational event – you don’t need to be Lance Armstrong to finish this Tour! Cyclists as young as 10 and as old as 100 can participate. If for some reason you are unable to finish we have shuttle trucks that will take you to the finish line.

What are the registration fees?

Registration fees are $40 for participants choosing to camp or stay in hotels. Registration fees are $60 for cyclists choosing to stay in dorms. Fees include all of your meals and accommodations.

Where does the Tour start?

The RONA MS Bike Tour – Leduc to Camrose starts at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (RBA) - 1500 Sparrow Dr., Nisku, AB. There is plenty of parking at RBA. Upon arrival the Saturday morning of the Tour, cyclists throw their luggage on our moving vans, help themselves to a continental breakfast and line up at the start line. The start line of the bike tour is a sight to see. With over 2000 cyclists choosing to participate in the Tour and help end MS – it is an emotionally charged beginning of the weekend.

What can I expect at the overnight location?

The overnight of the RONA MS Bike Tour takes place at the Camrose Regional Exhibition Grounds (CRE). Once you arrive at the CRE you can expect a welcoming finish line, bike storage, luggage retrieval, showers, a beer gardens, the Rider Village and live music. The CRE location feels like an overnight festival!

I’ve heard of the Rider Village. What is this?

The Fillmore Construction Rider Village is the place to be at the CRE. Teams of any size can book lots in the Rider Village and host their own party! The Rider Village is an excellent opportunity for teams to celebrate their accomplishments after their first day of cycling. Teams have been known to bring their own BBQs, hot tubs, massage therapists and even lobster to their team lot.

What kinds of prizes are offered at this event?

There are many prizes offered for fundraising achievements at this event! Our most popular items are our $1000 and $2000 Club MS jerseys and shorts. Cyclists who raise at least $1000 receive our elite cycling jerseys – and can proudly wear these jerseys at the Tour. Click here to check out all of our 2011 prizes!
