What We Do

 

  • Identify issues requiring government relations at the Division level.
  • Receive and collect information about government & community relations issues that may require coordinated action between Chapters and Division. This includes receiving the quarterly report from staff on government and community relations.
  • Recommend policy in response to these issues to the Alberta & Northwest Territories Division Board of Directors.
  • Propose strategies and recommend action relating to government and community relations issues.
  • Monitor implementation of Board policy and plans related to government & community relations
  • Serve as a sounding board and advise staff in the area of government & community relations.
  • Cooperate and collaborate with other groups involved in government & community relations, to lend support to common concerns and avoid duplication of effort.
  • Maintain accurate minutes of all meetings
