To avoid the long line-ups on the day of the Manitoba Lotteries MS Walk, all Team Captains are invited to pick-up their complimentary Team Captain t-shirt early, along with their Team t-shirts for those teams that have qualified. You and your team will also have the opportunity to take advantage of Advance Check-In (see below for more information) at the same time. So gather your team pledges or bring them along with you on Thursday, April 22 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and stop by the MS Society, MB Division Office at 100-1465 Buffalo Place to pick up your t-shirts and grab some snacks! Team Captain t-shirts not picked up will be available the day of the Walk at Check-In. Team T-shirts Congratulations! The following teams have qualified for Team t-shirts by raising an average of $125/team member. Team t-shirts can be picked-up in the VIP Lounge located in the Grant Park High School cafeteria between 8:00 am and 10:00 am at the Walk.
**Only the team members who registered prior to April 9 will receive Team t-shirts. Anyone who did not specify a size will receive a large t-shirt. Due to our deadlines with our printing company there cannot be any exceptions.**
Following this year’s theme, “Paint the Town Red,” teams are encouraged to pull out their noise makers, wigs and red clothing to show their support in the fight to end MS. MS staff and volunteers will be around all day, looking and listening for the team that stands out the most by demonstrating their team spirit and helping to paint the town red. The winning team will be recognized at our annual awards night. All teams are eligible no matter what size. So, whether you have a team of 4 or 100, get ready to show your team spirit on April 25 at the 2010 Manitoba Lotteries MS Walk. Team Photos – Capture Your Special Day! Team Photos are happening in front of Grant Park High School from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Make sure you stop by. Photos are free and make a great keepsake from your special day. Team photos will be posted after the Manitoba Lotteries MS Walk in an online album for everyone to admire. Manitoba Lotteries MS Walk Team Village The Team Village is a fun, festive area at the Manitoba Lotteries MS Walk where our top fundraising teams meet and celebrate on Walk day. Visit the Team Village and meet some of the Manitoba Lotteries MS Walk Top Fundraisers. Please join us in congratulating this year’s teams who will have a special spot in the Team Village: Friends of Joanne Get the VIP Treatment: After you check in, proceed to the Grant Park High School cafeteria to enjoy a special breakfast with indoor seating and no line-ups while being pampered by onsite massage therapists. The Team Captain/Top Fundraiser VIP Lounge is an exclusive area for any Team Captain or participant who raises over $1000 and provides our VIPs a special area to mingle with each other, sharing stories and ideas. It is a chance for the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division to say thank you to the participants who contribute the most to ending MS. Take Advantage of Advance Check-in and Win an iPod! Take advantage of Advance Check-in at the MS Society office and you’ll not only avoid the long line-ups, but also enter to win an iPod. From April 12-21, the Winnipeg office (located at 100-1465 Buffalo Place) will be open to take your pledge money. Prize ballots will be available when you turn in your money at Advance Check-in. This way, all you have to do on Walk day is show up and have fun. Advance Check-in Schedule:
Pledge Money Deadline All pledge money collected for the 2010 Manitoba Lotteries MS Walk must be turned into the MS Society (1465 Buffalo Place) by Friday, May 7, 2010 at 4:30 pm to be eligible for prizing. This includes all corporate donations or matching gifts. Money received after the deadline will still be issued a tax receipt.
