MS Connections Conference- September 19 & 20, 2014
The Calgary & Area Chapter is hosting the 2014 MS Connections Conference at the Telus Spark Centre. The conference will begin Friday afternoon, with a Pre-Conference Symposium, which will be open to the public. The focus for this session is the Continuum of MS Care in Alberta.
Dr. Gabor Mate is our keynote speaker on the Friday evening and is a renowned speaker and bestselling author of "When the Body Says No." He is highly sought after for his expertise on a range of topics including addiction, stress and childhood development.
Saturday will be the full day conference with a theme of living well with MS. Conference topics include physical activity, Cognition& MS, Neuroimmunology: Understanding Your Medications, research and a motivational speaker.
Use those muscles or lose those muscles! This seated all-encompassing program is designed to maintain general fitness and range of motion through fun movements and light resistance training with a variety of fun fitness equipment.
Seated Fitness Recreation Program
This full-body seated program utilizes free weights and tubing and focuses on range of motion, increases muscular strength and endurance, core stability, as well as lower body mobility and range of motion.
