Reading

The MS Read-A-Thon is a fantastic fundraiser
that promotes literacy, disability awareness, and community
involvement in our country's schools. This program has raised
over $35 million across Canada since 1977.
Read-A-Thon
is a very easy way of helping our Society raise money for
important research into the cause and cure for MS, as well
as services and support for people with MS and
their families. The program has been developed to minimize
the time and effort required by the school and its staff.
The
MS Read-A-Thon
also builds awareness — students gain an understanding
of
MS and its effects, while reading
for the cause. It's a great, undemanding way to get students
involved and excited about learning and honing important
literacy skills. Students also learn about their power to
help others and make a difference
in their communities.
