Funding Services

“The MS Society has always cared enough to listen and help in any way they could.” — Anonymous

Generally, we are not a funding agency, as there are government programs intended to provide support related to having a disability. But where unique situations of hardship created by MS exist, we may be able to provide temporary assistance on a last resort basis through two programs.

Equipment Purchase Funding or Equipment Loan
In most cases, MS results in an ever-changing degree of disability. This can result in changing equipment needs, and government programs may be slow to respond to such needs. Contact your local Chapter or Alberta & Northwest Territories Division for more information on equipment purchase funding or equipment loan.

Special Assistance Funding
Special assistance is designed to provide limited funds for clients with unique and temporary needs. The Society does not duplicate existing programs and assumes that persons with MS or community health professionals have exhausted all community funding resources. Contact your local Chapter or Alberta & Northwest Territories Division for more information on Special Assistance Funding Program.

Contact Your Local Chapter
Use the menu below to find a Chapter and local services near you. If you're not able to find a Chapter in your area, please email Alberta & Northwest Territories Division or call toll-free 1-800-268-7582.
