Library and Resource Centre

Our Library and Resource Centre provides current and innovative resources for people with MS and their support network or persons simply wishing to acquire more information on MS. You can access books, manuals, cassette tape recordings, CD ROM programs, DVDs, and an extensive VHS collection. Topics cover a wide range of interests, including:

“ASK MS”


Take advantage of our thorough searchable database called "ASK MS", which contains articles for persons with MS and study reports for health professionals. The primary focus of ASK MS is on physical and psychosocial aspects of MS, including:

  • Symptoms and their management
  • Diagnostic procedures
  • Drugs and other therapies
  • Immunology
  • Genetics
  • Complementary therapies
  • Epidemiology
  • Current research

“ASK MS” articles come from a variety of sources, including scientific journals, professional health care publications, the popular press, and publications of the MS Society. These articles are available at the MS Society. Please contact us for more information.

Educational Programs and Events

We offer a wide range of education programs, seminars and events to help keep Albertans with MS up-to-date on current research, therapies and coping strategies. Ongoing programs include:

  • MS: IS - An educational series for individuals and their families newly diagnosed with MS.
  • A Journey to Wellness – Helps you achieve wellness while living with MS.
  • Wellness Series - Monthly information series on living with MS.
  • Beyond Wellness - Explore approaches to alternative therapies.
  • Youth Programs - Education opportunities for children whose parents have MS.
  • Special Therapies - For people who are currently on or considering starting one of the four MS drug therapies (Avonex, Betaseron, Copaxone, Rebif, Tysabri).

We also offer a number of presentations, workshops, seminars, conferences, and research update nights. Visit the MS Info Events page for dates and times.
