Food

All meals and snacks will be provided by the Gull Lake Centre kitchen and will be planned according to Canada’s Food Guide.  Any food allergies or dietary restrictions (e.g. vegetarian, lactose intolerant etc.) can be accommodated if we let them know in advance. 

Emergencies

In case of a medical emergency we will have a vehicle on site to transport a participant to the hospital.  The nearest hospital is located approximately 20 minutes away in Lacombe.  We will contact you as soon as possible in the event that your child is taken to see a medical professional.

What to Bring
  • Bedding (sleeping bag or sheet and blanket)
  • Pillow
  • Toiletries (soap, toothbrush etc.)
  • Prescription medication
  • Towel
  • Socks and underwear
  • 2 pair long pants
  • 1 pair shorts
  • 3 t-shirts plus 2 long sleeve shirts
  • 1 warm sweater
  • Rain gear (including jacket, pants, and rubber boots)
  • Hat
  • Pajamas or sleep wear
  • 1 pair of closed toed shoes (runners or hikers)
  • 1 other pair of shoes (eg sandals)
  • Swimsuit
  • Teen Escape 2009Toque, mitts
  • 1 lightweight jacket
  • Flashlight
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses

Optional

  • Camera
  • Book and/or games
  • Insect repellent

DO NOT BRING: Knives, matches, iPods, mp3 players, CD players, video games, cell phones, portable radios, hairdryers, good clothes, food, candy, gum, non prescription drugs or alcohol, or any valuables.
