Medavie Blue Cross MS Walk

The MS Walk is the MS Society’s largest event fundraiser involving over 70,000 participants and volunteers in more than 160 communities across Canada.

Each MS Walk route is 5-8km and is fully accessible. Participants, either individuals or members of a team, register in advance online or by phoning 1-800-268-7582. They then raise pledges through our online participant centre and in their communities. On MS Walk day, participants go to the MS Walk in their community to submit their pledges and walk. Every MS Walk in Atlantic Canada is followed by refreshments and entertainment.

Annually, the MS Society, Atlantic Division holds 14 MS Walks throughout the region. Learn more about the 2012 MS Walk in your area today!

MS Bike Tour Logo

The MS Bike Tour is a pledge-based fundraising event that provides Canadians with the opportunity to ride through scenic and often spectacular parts of the country. Two MS Bike Tours are held annually in Atlantic Canada.

The MS Bike Tour - Sussex to Saint John begins in the beautiful town of Sussex and meanders through the picturesque Kennebecasis River Valley towards Saint John. Cyclists have the option of riding the more challenging route through the hills of Kingston or staying on the main route through to the finish at Rothesay Netherwood School. Saturday evening festivities include dinner, dancing, presentations and awards with a return ride to Sussex on Sunday to enjoy a BBQ at the finish line.

The MS Bike Tour – Windsor to Wolfville begins in Windsor and meanders through the beautiful Annapolis Valley countryside, ending in the pretty little town of Wolfville, where you will spend the night at Acadia University. With two alternate routes, you can choose the challenge route and cycle an additional 35 kms to Canning and back. Later, evening festivities will include dinner, dancing, presentations and awards. On Sunday morning, after breakfast, we ride back to Windsor and complete the tour with a BBQ at the finish line.
