The MS Society of Canada is asking the provincial government to work with us to develop a province-wide strategy to deal with long-standing issues affecting people living with MS. The actions we are seeking will improve access to care for people with MS and increase funding for research to end MS:
- Address the inequitable distribution of financial and human resources among health authorities for MS-related services;
- Close the gap between PharmaCare and private prescription drug coverage for MS disease-modifying therapies;
- Build age-appropriate residential care facilities for younger people living with MS; and
- Invest in the Society's endMS Research and Training Network to recruit, train, support and retain the next generation of MS researchers in BC.
