Faces of MS: Monthly MS Profiles

September 2010

George and Carolyn

Denise Maglio - I was devastated when I was diagnosed with MS, to say the least. With the help of my loving husband (who refused to let me feel sorry for myself), a supportive family and true friends, I decided to become very proactive in my health care. I pursued a balanced lifestyle that includes hiking, skiing and my new found passion, yoga! It has not always been easy, but I absolutely refuse to give in. My heroes are every day people. People that choose to live outside the box, people that are committed to their families, and people helping people. Having MS has reawakened me to the joy of living beautifully, meaningfully, and passionately.
