The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is a founding and very active member of the IFMSS. Started in 1968, the IFMSS links 39 national organizations from Argentina to Zimbabwe to share information and promote MS awareness and research. The Ottawa Hospital MS Clinic is an affiliate of the Canadian Network of MS Clinics and is partially funded by the MS Society of Canada-Ontario Division. The clinic focuses primarily on patient care; however, it is also extensively involved in both clinical and basic science research projects pertaining to MS. 
More than one million people with disabilities in Ontario are in need of legislation to protect their rights and to eliminate the barriers that they face in every day living. Under the leadership of lawyer activist David Leposky, who is blind, The Ontarians With Disbilities Committee, has been fighting tirelessly for six years to get the Government of Ontario to live up to a promise made by Mike Harris during the election campaign of 1995, to bring in an Ontarians With Disabilities Act (ODA) during his first term of office. The ODA Committee has had many successes; newspaper editorials, several municipal Governments, and both opposition Parties have supported their call for an effective ODA. MS Liberation
MS Liberation is a group of people who either have multiple sclerosis (MS) or have a loved one who has MS.
Working together in conjunction with many other grassroots groups across the globe as well as several research and testing facilities, MS Liberation is working to assist researchers test the theory of how correcting chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) can help MS
