Evelyn
Opal Society

The
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada established the Evelyn
Opal Society to recognize individuals who have made planned
gifts.
Evelyn
Gottlieb Opal is the founder of the MS Society of Canada. Diagnosed
with MS in 1936, Mrs. Opal transformed her frustration due
to the lack of information available to persons with MS into
a life-long campaign to raise awareness about the disease and
to raise funds to find a cure.
Legacy
gifts to the MS Society ensure that the work Mrs. Opal helped
to begin can continue. Donors of legacy gifts are immediately
awarded membership in the Evelyn Opal Society.
Members
of the Society receive:
- A
custom-designed lapel pin featuring an opal stone, symbolic
of hope;
- VIP
information about Society initiatives;
- Public recognition - new members will be listed in the Society's Annual Report; and
- Invitations
to special events such as the Annual General Meeting.
If
you are interested in finding out more about the Evelyn Opal
Society, please contact your local legacy giving office.
