InterContinental Hotels Group Joins the Fight Against Multiple Sclerosis

TORONTO, CANADA (May 20, 2004) – InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada announced a new national partnership in the fight against multiple sclerosis. IHG will partner with the MS Society’s 2004 RONA MS Bike Tour. InterContinental Hotels Group will be providing several hotel stays as an incentive for the Top Rookie Awards at every bike tour event across the country. IHG brand hotels and their employees are also encouraged to get involved at the local level to support the Society’s mission to be the leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.

"In my personal life I have always been a strong supporter of MS, with my involvement in Halifax and Toronto. Now we have the opportunity to align two great organizations together to support a great cause,” said Kris Crundwell, Director of Sales, Canada.

“We are delighted with our new association with IHG,” said Ken Mayhew, National Vice-President, fundraising for the MS Society of Canada. “We thank InterContinental Hotels Group for recognizing the tremendous needs of the thousands of Canadian families living with multiple sclerosis.”

About the MS Society of Canada

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. It is the most common neurological disease of young adults in Canada. The MS Society provides services to people with MS and their families and funds research to find the cause, prevention, treatment and cure for this devastating disease.
