Planned Giving

Planned giving

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada organizes a host of fundraising events, giving walkers, cyclists, car enthusiasts, golfers, students and others many ways to become involved in providing support for people and families living with the often devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

We also realize that not everyone wishes to solicit pledge money
from friends, family, neighbours and co-workers, but would still
like to make a significant contribution to our organization and to
the people who benefit from its services.

Planned giving may be the answer.

How does Planned Giving work?

There are several ways to make a planned gift:

  • You can provide funds for the Society through a bequest in
    your will

  • You can give the gift of a life insurance policy

  • You can set up a charitable trust that would provide you with an income now and which would be a gift to the Society in the future

  • You may discuss further options with our Planned Giving Manager

Benefits to the Planned Gift Giver

There are many benefits to making a planned gift:

  • You may designate the area of the Society's work you wish to support

  • You may receive substantial tax benefits

  • You become a partner with the MS society in working toward a new and better future for people living with MS

What your Planned Gift does

You Planned Gift makes a world of difference:

  • It ensures that there are funds in the future to provide the
programs, services and important research supported by the
    MS Society

  • It means that thousands of Manitobans living every day with
the challenges of multiple sclerosis have more hope and help than ever before

  • It brings us a step closer to the cure for MS
