Manitoba Division Strategic Plan

FOREWARD (Excerpt from Momentum 2015)
The MS Society of Canada’s strategic plan was developed through a broad, nation-wide consultative process which began in the spring of 2007. Hundreds of key stakeholders from across the country provided input through early consultations and validation processes. Stakeholders were drawn from chapters in all regions of the country, from the Society’s seven divisions and its national office, and from the Society’s parallel foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Scientific Research Foundation.
The development of the strategic directions was an opportunity to deepen a shared commitment to our mission and to provide input into our vision of the future. Momentum 2015 is the culmination of this planning process.
Momentum 2015 is intended to serve as a guide to decision-making at all levels of the Society. Defining a strategy means addressing needs that will help achieve the desired future for people affected by multiple sclerosis and for our Society by 2015.
To this end, the strategic directions have been organized around four broad questions that serve as cross-cutting themes: How do we create value for our stakeholders? At what processes must we excel? Financially, what is most critical to us? How do we enable ourselves to grow and change?
From careful analysis and discussion of the key aspects of the Momentum 2015’s strategic directions, the Manitoba Division Board has utilized these themes as a foundation for the Division’s strategic planning. With this, the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division’s Strategic Plan focuses on addressing the needs of Manitobans living with multiple sclerosis and creating and maximizing opportunities to further our mission.
