Frequently Asked Questions

When is the MS Walk this year?
The 2011 MS Walks in Ontario were held on April 17, May 1, May 15 and May 29. Thanks so much to those who walked to help end MS. The majority of the 2012 MS Walks in Ontario will be held on April 22. Check back soon for more detailed information.
I’m having difficulty logging into my page, what should I do?
If you are having difficulty logging in, and know that you have a contact record with us, please contact us prior to creating a new record.  This will ensure that you won’t receive additional unnecessary mail and alleviate the problem of duplicates in our system.  Please call us at 416-922-6600 or 1-800-268-7582 or e-mail us at walk@mssociety.ca  if you need further assistance.
I can’t remember my login and password?
Some people have several contact records within our system and this sometimes causes difficulties in registering on-line.  If you have forgotten you login and password, please call or e-mail us at 416-922-6600/ 1-800-268-7582 or at walk@mssociety.ca .  Once we have provided you with this information, please keep it confidential.  Read our privacy policy here.
I haven’t received any of the mailings for the MS Walk this year, what do I do?
If your address has changed please let us know. Change of address will ensure that our participants will receive mailings in a timely fashion and will diminish the amount of paper we recycle.  If you are able to provide us with an e-mail address or as an alternate way of communicating this will also decrease the amount of regular mail we send out.  For assistance please call us at 416-922-6600 or
1-800-268-7582 or e-mail us at walk@mssociety.ca
My donation went through twice or I’m not sure if it went through, what do I do?
If you are experiencing difficulties in making an online donation, please check that you have filled all the necessary information first.  If you continue to have difficulties, please contact us to make sure that your donation has not gone through before trying again.  For assistance please contact us at 416-922-6600 or 1-800-268-7582 or e-mail us at walk@mssociety.ca
Where do I get pledge sheets?
In order to download a pledge form, you will need to be registered for the Walk first. Once you are in your personal space within our web-site you will be able to print off a pledge form.  You will need the program Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to do this.  If you are unable to print one off please contact us with your contact information and we will send the pledge sheets to you.  Contact us at 416-922-6600 or
1-800-268-7582 or e-mail us at walk@mssociety.ca
How do I use the MS Society of Canada’s online fundraising system?
Once you are logged into your own personal online fundraising page for any MS Society events, please take a few moments to navigate the different tabs and functions of the system.  This will greatly assist you in creating your own page within your personal space.  If you are unsure of some of these functions, please contact us at 416-922-6600 or 1-800-268-7582 or e-mail us at walk@mssociety.ca
What will I need to bring on the day of the MS Walk?
Everything you will need to bring on the day of the MS Walk will be included in Footnotes 2, which will be sent out to you in March.
Where do I find a route map for the MS Walk?
The route maps aren’t available until the day of the MS Walk.  However, depending on the site we have 2 or 3 different route lengths.  Please call us or check your location on-line for route lengths.
How much does it cost to register for the Walk?
It doesn’t cost anything to actually register for the MS Walk.  However, to be eligible for a MS Walk T-shirt you need to raise a minimum of $125.  This is where our prize structure begins.  We will ask all participants who have not raised funds to donate $20.00 on Walk day.  At this time you will be asked to sign a waiver as well.
I have a question about the MS Walk in my community, who do I contact?
If you have any questions regarding the MS Walk in your community, please visit our local listings here.  If you are unable to find the information you require here please call us at 416-922-6600 or
1-800-268-7582 and we will connect you with our customer service coordinator or the coordinator of the MS Walk location you intend to Walk in.
I’ve already registered for the MS Walk. How do I join or create a team?
  1. Login to your Personal Fundraising Home page
  2. Under the TeamMS tab, there are 2 additional tab options
    • Create my team
    • Join a Team (note: before you can join a team, your team captain must have already created one via the online system after which you may select the team by team or team captain name in the drop down list)
Note: When you join a team, your name, e-mail address and the amount you raise online may be provided to the team captain for team administration purposes. No other personal information will be shared. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please visit our website to view our privacy policy or contact your local MS Society office
Haven’t registered, but would like to form or become part of a team?
