Your MS Dollars at Work

When you raise money for the MS Society of Canada, the money is put to work supporting vital research and providing much needed services. Below are a few examples of the many ways we provide support and services to those living with MS.

Compare your fundraising goal to the approximate cost of the care and mobility equipment some families with MS need.

$1,000   Incontinence supplies for one year
Some of the symptoms of MS include paralysis, incontinence, cognitive difficulties, pain and fatigue. Living with these challenges can be costly and the MS Society is able to help those who need it with funding.
$500   Funds one self help group for people living with multiple sclerosis
Self help groups provide people with an opportunity to meet others in the same situation, with the same challenges, frustrations and fears. The MS Society has 90 support groups in Ontario.
$100   Four MS information packages for people who have been newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis
It’s scary to learn you have multiple sclerosis. The MS Society has many publications and materials to help answer questions and provide up to date information.

With the money you raise the MS Society is also able to contribute funding for seven MS Clinics across Ontario, advocate for drug reimbursement programs and barrier free accessibility in the community as well as organize support groups for people with multiple sclerosis and their families.
