Education
is very much a part of all aspects of MS Society related activities.
Through MS Society educational programs, people with MS and
their families have a better understanding of MS. Programs are
also offered to health care professionals.
Generally,
education programs focus on the following areas:
- Programs
to increase knowledge about coping with multiple sclerosis
for people with MS and their families.
- Programs
to facilitate learning and disseminate educational materials
for physicians, nurses, and other professionals to enhance
their professional competence in caring for people with MS
and their families.
- Programs
to educate and train chapter volunteers and staff in relation
to activities and responsibilities of Client Services.
