Making a Difference Today:
2007 Government Relations Workshop

On April 28 and 29, 2007, nearly 40 volunteers and staff from almost 20 chapters gathered in Toronto for the first-ever MS Society, Ontario Division, government relations training workshop for chapters and units.

Workshop agenda - April 28 & 29

Workshop presentations

Key goals were for participants to discover how government relations and social action can be part of chapter and unit activities and to provide them with the basic tips and tools to work with local government officials.

The two days were full of energy and enthusiasm as participants learned from expert presenters and from each other. “I was so impressed with the high calibre of work that many chapter volunteers have undertaken in the past that has made a real difference in their communities,” said John Clifford, chair, Ontario Government Relations and Community Social Action Committee.

Please see the workshop agenda and the numerous presentations to learn more about Making a Difference Today and how you can apply this valuable information locally.
