Building a Better Tomorrow:
2008 Government relations workshop

Workshop agenda -
April 26 & 27

Workshop presentations

On April 26 and 27, 2008, nearly 40 volunteers and staff from over 20 chapters across Ontario gathered in Toronto for the second annual Government Relations and Social Action Training Workshop.

Participants learned how to include government relations and social action into their chapter and unit activities, and were provided with basic tips and tools to work with local government officials, Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) and local transportation bodies. Workshop participants also learned about the endMS campaign and how they can become part of a dynamic network of people throughout the province who will build support to end MS!

The two days were full of energy and enthusiasm as participants learned from expert presenters and from each other. As one workshop attendee noted: "It was a great learning experience. I made new contacts with other members, and was able to get some fresh ideas in order to better serve my community."

Please see the workshop agenda and the presentations to learn more about Building a Better Tomorrow and how you can apply this valuable information locally.
