» Letter Writing Campaigns
The MS Society, Ontario Division, sometimes uses letter writing campaigns as an effective way to encourage action and keep locally elected officials and policy makers informed on MS related issues. In this section you will find several template letters designed on topics of importance to the Society. Background information for each letter is also provided.
To make your letter effective, you can personalize it by telling your own story. There is strength in numbers so remember to encourage your friends and family to write to their MPPs asking for their support as well.
You can send a letter to any provincial MPP or federal MP postage free.
To find your MPP’s contact information, please go to the Ontario Legislature website and find your riding along the right column. Email addresses will be found there as well. You may find your federal MP’s contact information at the Parliament of Canada website.
Have you wanted to voice your concerns and make change but didn’t know how? Do you feel like you have something to say but don’t know who to approach and how to get your message across? The MS Society’s Handbook for Government Relations and Advocacy provides practical information and tips about developing and carrying out social action and government relations activities.
