An intact skin protects other organs by maintaining body structure and preventing infections. Persons living with MS can have compromised skin integrity when they spend prolonged periods of time sitting or lying. Good skin care involves many different factors including comfortable seating with even weight distribution. This session provided participants with information on the prevention and care of pressure sores to maintain good health.

Fatigue and Multiple Sclerosis

Fatigue can take a major toll on functioning, mood, and quality of life. It can severely limit energy and endurance, and may have negative effects on mood and the ability to cope with other MS symptoms. This session provided participants with information on the cognitive and physical affects of MS fatigue.
