MS Kilts Fore a Cure
Take a swing at multiple sclerosis

The second annual
MS Kilts Fore a Cure

golf tournament will take place on
Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Cedarhill Golf and Country Club.

Pledge a golfer!

The Format
Golfers will arrive at the Club to “get suited in their kilt” (which is provided to each golfer upon raising their fundraising minimum of $250) and grab their lunch in time for a 1:00 pm shotgun start. This old style “Scottish play” tournament is best ball and will feature top golfing and fundraising prizes and themed holes like “closest to the Haggis”. The tournament will be followed by dinner at 6:30 pm.

Registration
$100 per individual golfer or $200 per foursome (that’s a discounted amount of $50 each) gets you registered. This amount is not tax receiptable and includes lunch, dinner, 18 holes of golf, and cart. To register, please contact Leanne Anderson at leanne.anderson@mssociety.ca or 613-728-1583 ext.226

Fundraising Requirement
Each golfer must also raise a minimum of $250 in pledges. Pledges are 100% tax receiptable and given our ability to provide you with a personalized on-line pledge form, fundraising is now easier than ever!

The following is a list of the additional prizes that our sponsors will award you with in recognition of your outstanding fundraising efforts. The more you collect, the more you win!

Fundraise
Receive:
If new to the tournament or if a returning golfer
$250 (pledge minimum) Kilt for keeps! or matching tartan sash
$500
plus a pair of tall kilt socks or matching/solid flashes
$750
plus a kilt belt and buckle or Celtic kilt pin/Sash brooch
$1000
plus a kilt sporran or flask
$2500
plus a Swordsman's vest
$5000

plus a pair of Ghillie Brogue shoes

And, after reaching $500, for every $250 that you raise, your name will be entered into a random draw for a fabulous golf holiday (i.e. collect $1,000 and your name is entered in the draw 3 times). Given that participants are collecting pledges from far and wide, individuals will have until the end of September to collect and hand in all of their pledges to be eligible for the draw.

Last year’s winner won a trip for two to St. Andrew’s, Scotland which included:

  1. Return flight through Edinburgh Airport
  2. 5 Nights Accommodation (Twin or Double Occupancy) in St. Andrews
  3. Full Scottish Breakfast Every Morning
  4. 3-4 Rounds of Golf at some of Scotland’s finest courses, including Crail GS (Balcomie Links), Kingsbarns Golf Links, Carnoustie Championship Links and St Andrews Links (Old Course)
  5. Rental Vehicle throughout

Look forward to seeing you there!
