Participate in the MS Read-A-Thon or MS Read and Walk
Get your Students excited about reading!

Celebrating 35 years in Canadian schools! This program is easy for teachers to run and a great tool to encourage students to read and teach them the importance of helping others! The MS Read-A-Thon and MS Read & Walk are great valuable tools to promote reading and support curriculum based initiatives such as Family Literacy Day and Character Development.

How the MS Read-A-Thon works…………..

  • Contact our office to get started.
  • Choose the time that works best for your school. Fall (October), Winter (Jan. – Beg Feb) or Spring (March-Beg. April)
  • After the Kick-Off, students will read for 3 weeks and encourage friends and family to sponsor each minute read.
  • Students submit their pledge envelopes and the MS Read-A-Thon office will arrange for the pledges to be picked up, counted and receipted.
  • Your chosen award(s) will be sent to your school.

How the MS Read and Walk works………..

  • Contact our office to get started.
  • Choose the time that works best for your school. Fall (October), Winter (Jan. – Beg Feb) or Spring (March-Beg. April)
  • Arrange a Kick off date and determine how far your school will walk and how long they will read for.
  • Students submit their pledge envelopes and our office will arrange for the pledges to be picked up, counted and receipted.
  • Your chosen award(s) will be sent to your school.

Benefits to YOU and YOUR school………..

  • Register by November 30, 2011 and receive a $100 Scholastic Canada.
  • Schools that raise $2500 or more will receive 10% back in scholastic vouchers their school.
  • All students that read a certain amount get rewarded for reading!
  • Show your leadership: teach your students the importance of community involvement.
  • YOUR students will be excited about reading!
