VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The MS Society is currently seeking volunteers for the Saskatoon Carnation Campaign to help sort and prepare orders. We are looking for 25 volunteers to help on Sunday May 6th from 9 AM -- 4 PM. Shifts are 9 AM --12:30 PM and 12:30 PM -- 4:00 PM.

Duties include:

  • Counting bouquets to ensure there is the correct amount for each order
  • Arranging orders for each Route
  • Labeling Boxes

Benefits:

  • Food and Refreshments available!

National MS Research Teleconference

This year's National MS Research Teleconference will  be hosted by Karen Lee and will feature Dr. Anthony Traboulsee. Dr. Traboulsee has worked with people with MS for over 13 years, is Director of UBC Hospital Clinic and Clinical Trials Research Group and President of the Canadian MS Network of Clinics. 

The teleconference will take place on Thursday, May 31,  from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

MS Research Luncheon
Regina – Friday, May 25, 2012 - Noon

Dr. Anthony Traboulsee will be the keynote speaker for this annual event. Dr. Traboulsee is Assistant Director of the Multiple Sclerosis/MRI Research Group at the University of British Columbia. He is also the Clinical Assistant Professor in Neurology. Dr. Traboulsee will highlight various research initiatives at the luncheon in Regina. ***RSVPs are required for the luncheon. Telehealth Research Update
Friday, May 25, 2012 – 10:00 AM

**This session is for those who cannot attend the luncheon; space is limited.

Dr. Traboulsee will be repeating his talk on research on Friday, May 25 at 10 AM - 11:30 AM at the Regina General Hospital Telehealth Suite. This session will be broadcast throughout Saskatchewan communities via Telehealth. RSVPs are required for the telehealth session. Please call Dawn Young at 522.5600 by May 17 to reserve your spot.

  About Saskatchewan Division

The Saskatchewan Division of the MS Society has been supporting research into multiple sclerosis and providing much-needed services and programs to people with MS and their families since 1981.

The Saskatchewan Division consists of four chapters and two Division offices. The Division offices are located in Saskatoon and Regina. Chapters are located in Battleford, Melfort, Regina, and Saskatoon. Each chapter provides specific services and programs in and around its community for people affected by multiple sclerosis.
