A&W Logo

A&W

A&W Canada has been an incredible partner to the MS Society of Canada for the past 14 years through its Burgers to Beat MS campaign. What started as a pilot in 2008 in Saskatchewan, with $1 from every Teen Burger sold on a single day raising $40,000 for the MS Society, has grown into a cross-Canada campaign.

Each year, thousands of Canadians from coast to coast visit one of over 1,000 A&W restaurants for Burgers to Beat MS. Every summer, A&W guests can round up their bills, drop change into a donation mug, or participate in family-friendly fundraising events hosted by individual restaurants. And, on Burgers to Beat MS Day, $2 from every Teen Burger sold is donated to the MS Society.

Since 2009, more than $17 million has been raised – including a record-breaking $2 million in 2019 alone – to support our MS community and we are very thankful for their generosity and dedication to creating a world free from MS.

Student Works Logo

Student Works Painting

Founded in 1981, and operating across the country, Student Works Painting evolved in response to a shortage of summer jobs for students. All their owner/operators and most of their painters are full-time university students earning money for the following year’s tuition and expenses. Fulfilling their mission of providing students with experience that will benefit them throughout their lives, Student Works believes in excellent client service, supporting local communities and instilling a philanthropic mindset in their employees.

Since 2005, Student Works has been a dedicated supporter of the MS Society of Canada. Not only do they donate $10 from every paint job to our organization, but they also raise funds at special events and team activities, including an annual car wash that takes place at various locations at the end of June. In 2021, Student Works reached the incredible milestone of $2,000,000 raised to help those living with and affected by MS. Their generosity has an incredible impact on our MS community and we are so grateful for their continued partnership.

District 7 - Kin Canada Atlantic

Kin Canada is a Canadian service organization made up of dedicated member volunteers who serve their community’s greatest need through hosting and sponsoring events and community service projects.

Since 1977, when John Sears, a member of the Nashwaaksis Kin Club suggested the partnership, District 7 – Kin Canada Atlantic has been a generous supporter of the MS Society of Canada. This group of dedicated and passionate people has not only donated meeting space, assisted with key events like MS Walk and MS Bike and volunteered thousands of hours helping the MS cause, but they have also raised over $3.1 million to help fund MS research and support those living with the disease.

Over the past 45 years, this partnership has grown into a friendship of trust, compassion and loyalty. Kin Canada Atlantic believes that Mr. Sears would have been proud to see how far the commitment has come and the profound impact this support has had on both organizations. The MS Society of Canada is very grateful for the continued dedication to our MS community.

AIM Recycling

As a Canadian, family-owned company for over 80 years, AIM Recycling feels that it is important to give back to the communities in which they work, especially to causes close to their AIM employees’ hearts and lives.

Since 2016, AIM has been sponsoring their employee, Steve, who participates in MS Bike in support of his wife who lives with MS. In 2021, AIM wanted to make an even bigger impact with a generous donation to the MS Society in honour of Steve and his wife.

For AIM, supporting their people and communities is an extension of their close-knit culture and comes naturally. The MS Society is grateful for the impact AIM makes in the lives of the 90,000 Canadians living with MS, both today and in the future.
