The MS Society of Canada, Ontario and Nunavut Division, is hosting a one-day conference for people with MS, their caregivers and the larger MS community.

Join us on Saturday, October 21 in Toronto for the 2017 MS Connect Conference: Bringing the MS Community Together.

Conference Time: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm

Early Bird Tickets before September 23, 2017: $15.00 per person

Regular Tickets after September 25, 2017: $20.00 per person

Parking fee of $10.00 will be reimbursed at the event with your parking ticket.

Recent Advances in the Treatment of Multiple Sclerosis: Are we There Yet?

Dr. Mark Freedman

Dr. Freedman is currently professor of medicine in the field of neurology at the University of Ottawa, as well as director of the Multiple Sclerosis Research Unit at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus and a Senior Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Dr. Freedman is also the lead investigator in the Canadian Bone Marrow Transplant Study in MS and co-chair of the International Mesenchymal Stem Cell Transplantation Study Group.


Dr. Tania Bruno

Dr. Tania Bruno’s life passion is to improve the quality of life and health outcomes of those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and that is exactly how she spends her days at Toronto Rehab’s Rumsey Neuro site. A Staff Physiatrist and also Director of Electromyography for Toronto Rehab, Dr. Bruno specializes in interdisciplinary and outpatient treatment of persons with MS. Dr. Bruno’s practice is unique, offering treatment of individual MS symptoms.

Dr. Dale Robinson

Dr. Robinson graduated from medical school from Dalhousie, trained as a neurologist at McGill University and has worked as a neurologist for over 20 years in the Maritimes and now 3 years in Toronto. Dr. Robinson is a general neurologist with specific interests in MS and Botulinum toxin treatments for spasticity and other problems. Dr. Robinson is based at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

Drs. Bruno and Robinson will speak to pain in MS focusing on self-management strategies and behaviour change. There will be time for questions and answers.
