Volunteer

Achieving a world free of multiple sclerosis takes more than one person, and there isn’t just one way to accomplish it.

Volunteers are an integral part of our team, as we work together in our communities to ensure that collectively, we do our best to work to advance impact. Our mission is to connect and empower the MS community to create positive change, and every day our volunteers take action in their community to do just that.

Here are some examples of some of our exceptional volunteers and their impact in furthering our mission.

Some of the ways individuals take action include:

Volunteering at a fundraising event (MS Walk, MS Bike, etc.)

Becoming a leader in your community (committee member, fund development, etc.)

Lending your expertise (marketing and communications, policy planning, public relations, legal advocacy, etc.)

Offering direct support to individuals living with MS (peer support, friendly visiting, wellness programs, self-help group facilitation)

Helping out at an educational event (education session, resource fairs, etc)

Supporting and advocating for issues faced by people affected by MS (meeting with elected officials, act as host at MS Society events, etc)

Providing support at your local office (reception, filing, data entry)

Other ideas of how you’d like to get involved? We’d love to hear from you!

We are continuing to identify new virtual volunteer opportunities to support our community and we ask you to stay connected with us. Please see below for details on how to connect with us based on the province where you live. Once you find your local page we encourage you to take a few minutes, complete a volunteer application on our database, which will ensure that you stay informed on all latest updates and volunteer opportunities that match your interest.

For more information about opportunities near you, contact your local office.
