If you have landed in this section of the MS Society of Canada website, you or someone close to you has been recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This section will introduce you to MS in a way that allows you to learn as little or as much as your comfort level will permit.
After a diagnosis of MS, it’s important to maintain open and
ongoing discussions with your MS healthcare team when exploring
options related to your disease.
We understand that the road leading up to the diagnosis may have been long and at times frustrating; and some of you may still be on that road. You may want to learn everything you can right away, or you may need to take your time and only take in the information you need to get through today. It is important to know that you aren’t alone. This space allows people who have been newly diagnosed to come together for support, and to share common experiences, fears, challenges and successes.
