Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada

Evelyn Opal Society

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada established the Evelyn Opal Society to recognize individuals who have created a legacy gift in support of Canadians living with multiple sclerosis.

Evelyn Gotlieb Opal is the founder of the MS Society of Canada. Diagnosed with MS in 1936, Mrs. Opal was frustrated with the lack of information available to persons living with multiple sclerosis. This frustration sparked a lifelong campaign to raise awareness about the disease and funds to find a cure.

Legacy gifts to the MS Society ensure that the work Mrs. Opal helped initiate can continue. Donors of legacy gifts are immediately awarded membership in the Evelyn Opal Society.

More than 400 Canadians from coast-to-coast have created their legacy to a future free from MS. You can read their stories here.

If you have already created a legacy gift and you wish to let us know about your gift, please take a moment to fill out our Statement of Intent form. Any information you provide will remain strictly confidential.
