MS Society of Canada Urges Governments to Provide Earlier Access to Second Doses of COVID-19 Vaccines for Vulnerable Populations Including People Living with MS

  • Announcement

In March 2021, the MS Society sent a letter to provincial, territorial, and federal governments regarding COVID-19 vaccine prioritization for people living with MS. We were pleased to see that many jurisdictions prioritized people living with MS in their early phases for their vaccine rollouts.

Now, we continue to advocate for people living with MS and their essential caregivers to become fully vaccinated as quickly as possible. In response to a growing volume of concerns from people with MS, we have sent a follow up letter urgently requesting that they be considered as a prioritized group for an accelerated vaccination schedule.

The MS Society has also signed a joint statement with other Canadian health charities urging provincial and territorial governments to shorten the interval between COVID-19 vaccine doses for residents who are living with pre-existing health conditions.
