New Brunswick MS Bike Tour 2015

  • Announcement

On June 27 & 28 over 100 cyclists rode approximately 120 kilometres across New Brunswick as a part of the MS Bike - the largest cycling series in North America. The 11th annual New Brunswick MS Bike Tour, dubbed
“Plains and Pastures” was a wonderful weekend event that brought people together in the fight to end MS!

Funds raised from the MS Bike Tour support innovative research into the cause, treatment and cure of MS as well as provide valuable services and programs for Canadians affected by MS. The money raised in New Brunswick goes towards programs in the province, including helping to fund research being done by Dr. Alain Simard from the Université de Moncton.  Dr. Simard and his colleagues are studying monocyte production and function, which are immune cells that play an important role in MS. The data being collected will likely lead to the development of new drugs to control inflammation and may provide alternate and improved therapies for the treatment of MS. Research projects like these give those living with MS hope for the future.

This year, we are happy to announce that our “and counting” total is… $114,790.07 !!
