Victim Support Line

  • Advocacy & Legal

The Victim Support Line is an Ontario referral service that connects victims of crimes to community services. It is provided by the Attorney General's office. Callers can access the following:

  • Victim Notification System (VNS): The VNS keeps victims informed about the status and scheduled release date of ly incarcerated offenders.
  • Supports & Services: The VSL connects victims directly to an information counsellor who can refer them to services in their community that can help them overcome the impact of crime. It can also connect victims to the Office for Victims of Crime
  • Criminal Justice System Information: The VSL provides access to recorded information about how the criminal justice system works. This helps victims familiarize themselves with the justice system and allows them to review information at their own pace.
