The Social Security Tribunal (formerly known as Office of the Commissioner of Review Tribunals) organizes a Review Tribunal when a person appeals a Reconsideration decision made by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) about their Canada Pension Plan or Old Age Security benefits. The Social Security Tribunal (SST) is an independent administrative tribunal that makes decisions at arm's length from Employment and Social Development Canada, Service Canada and the Canada Employment Insurance Commission.
