Located in 48 communities across the province, legal aid area offices receive and process client applications and issue legal aid certificates to eligible people.

Legal aid certificates allow clients to receive legal aid services from their lawyer of choice.

Services are for people with low or no income - however, monthly expenses are considered and you may still qualify for partial coverage.

Legal Aid Offices (helps people who need a lawyer in a criminal or family law matter) are not the same as Community Legal Clinics (focus on poverty law problems).
