Works to discourage and eliminate discrimination by investigating and resolving discrimination complaints, and through education and equity programs. Discrimination is prohibited on the basis of race, creed, religion, colour, sex, sexual orientation, family status, marital status, disability, age, ity, ancestry, place or origin or receipt of public assistance. Discrimination on the basis of sex includes sexual harassment, and discrimination based on pregnancy and pregnancy related illnesses.
