An Approved Private Service Home is a private home that provides a family atmosphere for people with intellectual disabilities. Some individuals may also have a physical disability. These homes make it possible for people with disabilities to enjoy a meaningful life through family living in the community and to develop social, recreational and living skills.

Saskatchewan Approved Private Homes Inc.(SAPH) is a registered non-profit organization and professional association that provides information, education and supports to Approved Private Service Home providers.

Approved Private Service Homes are certified by the Departments of Health or Social Services providing homes and supports for persons with intellectual, mental and often physical disabilities in Saskatchewan.
