Recycled Equipment Loan & Donation Program

Our recycled equipment loan program offers high quality pieces of equipment that have been donated or previously purchased by the MS Society. These items are offered as a permanent loan until they are no longer required by the individual.

The MS Society requires that the an individual work with a health care professional, such as an Occupational Therapist to determine the precise needs and measurements for the equipment required. Health care providers are directed to contact the MS Society to determine if recycled equipment is available.

We accept the donation of used equipment that is in good condition. The types of equipment considered for our loan cupboard include: lift/recline chairs, electric hospital beds, scooters, ceiling track systems, stair glides etc.

There are some restrictions to the types of equipment we are able to accept as a donation. We are not able to accept equipment that is hygienic in nature such as toilet seats, bath seats, tub transfer benches, transfer poles etc or any equipment older than 3 to 5 years. Please contact the MS Society at 1-800-268-7582 if you have a piece of equipment you are considering for donation. A tax receipt may be issued for the fair market value of the equipment which will be determined by a licensed third party vendor.
