Yoga

Tuesdays 5:45- 6:45 pm
Location: Body Evolution Studio 37 Main Street, Newmarket. (just south of Davis Drive on east side)

Yoga mats are provided. The yoga classes are free and are for those with MS and their caregivers. Yoga can be done on the floor or from a chair. A 1hr yoga class starts with a whole body relaxation accompanied by breathing exercises. Then, simple and safe warm up movements for the arms, legs and spine. Depending on the group that arrives for the day, the class will then practice postures or flowing movements with the breath from sitting, standing, kneeling and on the belly positions. Each class ends with a deep full body relaxation meditation.

Yoga

Mondays 2:00- 3:00 pm

Location: Markham Village Community Centre (Hwy #7 and Main Street)

We offer gentle adapted yoga for those with MS.

This yoga class is free for those with MS in Markham/Stouffville.

Pilates

Pilates North, located in Richmond Hill, has been providing small group classes and private training in Pilates to a wide variety of clients who want to look, feel and perform at their very best. They are located within a
10 minute drive from Thornhill, Unionville, Maple, Woodbridge, Aurora, Newmarket, Markham and North York.


Wheelchair Ballroom Dancing

Victoria International Ballet Academy, 7 Bradwick Drive, ON L4K 2T4 Dufferin and Langstaff area

Classes are every Wednesday night from 8pm to 9pm and the cost is $5.

TIME, Together in Movement in Exercise  (see schedule for locations in your area)
A group exercise program designed by physiotherapists and led by fitness instructors. Achieve the following: get fit and increase your energy; increase confidence in your balance; move with more ease. Must be able to walk independently for 10 m (30 feet) with or without a cane or walker.
