Let your voice be heard this Municipal Election with our 2018 Election Toolkit!

The Municipal Elections are taking place October 20th and now is your chance to be heard! There are many issues that directly affect people living with MS in your community such as access to public spaces and transit services like HandyDART, or creating inclusive community activities and initiatives like municipal bans on plastic-straws.

The MS Society BC & Yukon Division has developed a Municipal election toolkit which acts as a quick reference guide offering you information on municipal responsibilities and candidate backgrounds, and providing tips and strategies to help you advocate on these important on-the-ground issues.

Thank you for joining our Taking Action for People with MS campaign during the 2017 provincial election. Together, you sent over 2,700 emails to candidates throughout the province using our e-advocacy tool, asking for changes. There are over 12,000 people in BC living with and affected by multiple sclerosis. We will continue to advocate for changes that will have a positive impact on the lives of those living with the disease.
