British Columbia Association for Individualized Technology and Supports for People with Disabilities (BCITS)

BCITS provides services in two main areas to help people with severe disabilities live independently and as well as possible:

  1. Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program (PROP) provides equipment and supports to people who use respiratory equipment, such as ventilators.
  2. Technology for Independent Living (TIL) Environmental Control Systems (ECSs) which are sensitive to touch or breathe, allowing people with severe physical disabilities to control devices and systems in their homes. This includes telephones, light switches, electrical outlets, heating systems, security systems, door entry and access, and entertainment systems.
